Jharkhand Primary Teacher Eligibility for Class 1-5

Candidates eligible for appointment as Intermediate Trained Assistant Teachers in Primary Schools (Classes 1 to 5) must meet the following criteria:

• Must have passed the +2 or higher secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a two-year diploma in elementary education (irrespective of the name given to it) or
• Must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the higher secondary examination or its equivalent, along with a two-year diploma in elementary education (irrespective of the name given to it), which was obtained within the timeframe of 2007-2009 session as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Regulations, 2002, or
• Must have passed the +2 or higher secondary examination or its equivalent, along with a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or
• Must have passed the +2 or higher secondary examination or its equivalent, along with a two-year diploma in education (special education) and a two-year diploma in elementary education (irrespective of the name given to it), or
• Must have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Jharkhand government for classes 1 to 5 as per the guiding principles established by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Jharkhand Upper Primary Teacher Eligibility for Class 6-8

Candidates eligible for appointment as Graduate Trained Assistant Teachers in Upper Primary Schools (Classes 6 to 8) must meet the following criteria:

• Must have passed the +2 or higher secondary examination or its equivalent, along with a two-year diploma in elementary education (irrespective of the name given to it), or
• Must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the subject applied for in graduation or its equivalent, along with a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in education or obtained within the time frame of 31.05.2009 session as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Regulations, 2002, or
• Must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination or its equivalent, along with a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or
• Must have passed the +2 or higher secondary examination or its equivalent, along with a four-year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Ed. or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Ed., or
